Uhde GmbH is back in the marketplace with it’s proprietary PRENFLO gasification technology and is once again marketing it’s PRENFLO (TM) solids gasification technology in the Coal-To-Liquids and IGCC markets.  In 2002, Shell and Krupp-Uhde announced that henceforth their technologies would be merged and marketed as the Shell gasification technology.   In 2008, Uhde is marketing its solids gasification technology independently as PRENFLO (TM) Gasification.

Uhde PRENFLO gasification technology is well developed and includes the PRENFLO process with direct quench (PDQ) and the PRENFLO process with steam generation (PSG).  The PRENFLO technology has undergone rigorous testing and is in use at the world’s largest solid feedstock IGCC plant in Puertollano, Spain. The Elcogas facility is Puertollano, Spain was started in 1997 and has celebrated more than 10 years of production.

Uhde can provide PRENFLO licensing agreements, basic engineering package (BEP), front end engineering design (FEED), feasibility studies, cost estimates, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and commissioning and start-up support.
