ZEEP’s vision and quick action propel it to a leadership position with Pratt-Whitney Rocketdyne gasification technology. Zero Emission Energy Plants, Inc. (ZEEP) announced that it has signed a global licensing agreement with Rocketdyne to build and operate gasification plants around the world using Rocketdyne’s compact gasification technology. ZEEP plans to focus on the Australia, Canada, China and the United States.
It was only in October 2008 that Rocketdyne issued a press release and delivered a presentation at the Gasification Technology Conference describing the compact gasification technology that it had developed. According to Rocketdyne, the compact gasification process builds off of knowledge and expertise that Rocketdyne has developed through the its rocket research and testing. A scant two months later, ZEEP has a global licensing agreement with Rocketdyne.
According to Pratt-Whitney Rocketdyne, the compact gasification technology results in a gasifier that is about 1/10 the size of a traditional gasifier. This reduces the cost of the gasifier and the cost of plant infrastructure.
